Glass Hound is a small, personal project, and this policy is written the way I'd actually want one explained to me - plainly, and without saying more than is true.
If you sign up for the email newsletter: just your email address. Nothing else is asked for or needed. It's used only to send you the newsletter itself, and it's never sold, rented, or shared with anyone else for any reason.
Just browsing the site: anonymous visit analytics - a random ID generated in your own browser (not tied to your name, email, or any account), used only to tell "a new visitor" from "someone returning" and to see which pages get read. Nothing about who you are is ever collected this way. This runs through Microsoft Clarity and a small first-party counter of my own.
Every newsletter email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom - no login, no account, no waiting. Click it and you're removed immediately. If anything ever goes wrong with that link, just let me know and I'll remove it by hand right away.
No ads, no ad trackers, no selling data to third parties, no sharing your email with the stores this site watches. If that ever changes in any material way, this page will change first, and clearly.
This is a personal project, not a company with a legal team, and this page is a plain-language description of what actually happens, not a substitute for formal legal advice. If you have specific concerns, reach out and I'll answer directly.
Questions about any of this? Get in touch - I'll answer myself, not a support queue.
